These are old pictures, but for me this is what hard work & dedication looks like. During 2009, I was devoted to being fit. I wanted to be skinny once and for all. That’s all I focused on. Once I became skinny, I was done. I had *made* it and started eating poorly. Again. I set up only short-term goals, which I achieved, but couldn’t maintain without long-term goals. You see, I believe weight loss isn’t about the now. The majority of us want to lose weight as fast as we can and don’t focus on how we’re going to maintain it. The most important thing about weight loss is it be a lifestyle change that can be sustained. Otherwise, you’ll gain it back. I’m living proof of someone who slipped back into their poor eating habits and gained all the weight lost and then some back. I’m now focusing on long-term, yearly goals in addition with creating short-term, mini goals. I’ve already lost 13lbs in my second go at weight loss. Hopefully, this time it’s for good.
